Cat Stuck In A Tree? Hold Off On ‘911’

In latest Financial Crisis News, the London Fire Brigade will no longer be accepting calls to rescue cats from trees.

You know, austerity measures and all. We all need to make sacrifices. Even Moggy.

So what do you do if you come across a cat stuck in a tree:

  • Don’t panic. Despite common folklore, cats stuck in trees are very rare. Most cats are perfectly able to get out of the tree, when they feel like it that is.
  • Monitor the cat. I would say, give the cat at least 4-5 hours. Don’t wary, nothing bad would happen to a healthy adult cat in that time.
  • If the cat is still there, if he is meowing, vocalising, acting distressed – call your local SPCA, humane society, local Council. Don’t call the fire brigade. Unless you want to explain yourself to some very angry firemen, that is.
